Correct sitting postures for children & adults !

Generally sitting position according to experts, is for you to be at a 90-degree angle, taking into account your knees, waist, and elbows. At the same time, doctors recommend focusing your eyes on the top area of the computer screen.

Here are a few tips to consider in order to promote better posture at your desk:

  • Sit up straight, scoot all the way back in the chair.
  • Keep feet flat on the floor or supported No more swinging your feet while you sit or hooking them around the chair's legs. Place them flat on the floor in front of you.
  • Position ankles in front of the knees
  • Head positioned in line with shoulders (no strain in neck)
  • Relax shoulders.
  • Perform stretching exercises two or three times a week to boost muscle flexibility.
  • Exercise regularly to improve muscle strength and tone.
  • Position your feet, forearms, thighs, and chin level while sitting to study or using your electronics. An increased awareness of these details avoids pinching and stress on tissues throughout the body. 
  • Get up and MOVE: Every 30 minutes, choose to walk around the house, do jumping jacks, squats, or skipping for at least 30 seconds. Movement of your muscles, heart, and lungs increases the circulation of nutrients in your body. Drink some water every time you get up to keep your body hydrated and your brain focussed.
